How we teach MFL at Moore

download (85)

At Moore Primary School, children learn French in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6). Our aim is to develop the children's communication skills, including key skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Learning French gives the children a new and broader perspective on the world, encouraging them to understand their own cultures and those of others. This includes how Christian festivals, such as Christmas, are celebrated in other countries. The children’s knowledge of how language works will be developed and extended. Lessons will enable pupils to make progress in one language and the linguistic skills gained will assist and lay foundations for further language learning.
